Casa Estela 2009

This year I hired a local contractor named Saul to remov the old palapa roof, and install a new tile roof. Required for the job were 750 bricks, cement, new wood for the roof framework, and two different types of tile. All the materials except the wood were puchased in Puerto Vallarta, and moved to the house. The wood was contracted locally, and was done by a friend of Saul. Firs, the brick, and cement work was done to facilitate the new lower pitched roof. Next, the wood framework was installed, and made ready to take the tiles. Finnally the new tiles were installed. You will notice that there is some ighter colored tiles. This is to let light into the house, so it will not be dark in the daytime. It was a great success.
