Casa Estela 2001

Before my arrival this year, I contacted Valentin and arranged to have the entire roof (palapa) structure removed. The new wood for the framework was also collected. When I arrived the construction of the new roof began. The photos below show the progression. Once the work was completed, Valentin, my brother, and I cleaned up the Casa. My brother trimmed off the inside of the palapa, so as to give it a more finished off look. He also lashed off all of the roof framework making it stronger, as well as more pleasing to look at.
